The lost joy of writing letters

Writing letters is a something which everyone must practise (in my point of view).  It helps in putting the feelings into words. Although, text messages can still do the same. But, ever felt how it feels to receive a letter? It is a feeling which just can't be tamed.
I think many of us want to find that one moment that feels like a pivotal turning point in our lives. Either be it our career or dreams or stuff. Everyone gapes for a moment where we leave our past behind and get busy living. We stop making excuses and get ready to do what it takes to have the life we want. Sometimes after getting busy, we regret being thinking that way earlier, but the other times it may be a good choice.

While the quality time may not be in person, writing each letter takes time and reading the letter does as well. Both deserve appreciation and cheers.  When we get to take time out of our day to read what someone we care about has written to us, it's a tiny sliver of time that we get to spend with them in our mind. And when it's a surprise letter for you on some occasions or festivals, the joy of receiving one gets double. The sender too hopes for the same. The slower nature of the postal system means there's a delay between the times spent on the letter, but perhaps that leads to more meaningful correspondence since the trivial things don't seem to matter as much after a few days.

Writing letters and sending them through the post is something which very few of us do. Your schedule may be busy, you may not get enough time for it. But at least, it is better than wasting time in useless stuff. No matter where my life takes me, I know I’ll always remember one vivid point in my life that changed everything. It happened one night while I was going through youtube I noticed something. And it was about a talk on "Why write?". I would definitely say that it was a kind of talk which everyone must listen to because the speaker really described very well about it which motivated me at the end.

Many might think- "Come on! it is 21st century now, who writes a letter?
After all, why send a letter which will arrive days later in the post when you can send a text in seconds?" But, just think, writing letters is a time-consuming process and receiving it too takes time and also reading it does as well. But the happiness of doing it can be felt by the one who does it.
People who think that kindles replace books, keyboards replace writing are the ones who had never tried sending a letter and that's really sad.
Writing letters has no harm. Why think before starting it? Take out a pen and paper and begin writing. It doesn't matter whether your handwriting is good or bad. No one is going to judge you for that. It should just be readable.

A break, a pause, still friendship continues.

While I was setting my table today, some of my books fell down. In a hurry, I picked them up and kept them back. After a few seconds, they fell off again. I turned back and this time, without any bustle, I kept my books one by one on the table. You can never make a work perfectly if you are in a flurry, I realised and this time with a proof.  Although I know, being a student everything we do is at the last minute either be it submitting assignments or completing a project or whatever, but, the fun of last-minute completion is somewhat different.
While I was arranging the books on my table, I found a small piece of paper which contained the signatures and some best wishes from some of my friends which we collected two years back. I smiled looking at it because I know, no matter what we will be with each other forever.
Friends are an important part of our life without whom our lives would have been as boring as the S.U.P.W. classes, the purposes of which are still unknown to me.  Life without friends is as awkward as a tree without leaves. Ever presumed a tree without leaves? (would look like a ghost at night definitely). Integrity and truthfulness in friendship will always pay you back. We never lose friends in life it's just that our preferences change along with our goals and ambitions.

A three letter word 'YOU'

You are one of such beautiful dream of mine,
The feeling which I could never live, that feeling you are of mine.
You are like the sun meeting the horizon at dusk,
The refreshing morning rays of light, which makes us start our daily task.
The one for whom I have surrendered my life,
That angel you are of mine.

The one who comes in my dream,
that dream you are of mine.
The one for whom my heart beats, you are that beat of mine.
The air in which I breathe, that air you are of mine
The one for whom I pray that 'one' you are of mine.

Whenever

 Whenever I see you,
I wish, I could stay with you

Whenever I talk to you
I wish, I could be with you

Together, forever

Not just in thoughts
But the reality that you bought

I love you more than I had ever,
And you are the medicine of this fever

With you I feel complete
As I know you would never leave
I want to spend my life with you
Together, forever

I want you more than I had ever
And you are what I have

That is what I would love to save
For you are all what I have

"The Hidden Thought"

Well, it is said that it’s better to keep something left unsaid. There are so many things out there which we keep confined in our hearts, but, never dare to speak out. There are so many things we actually want to share, but, at last end up keeping that thought curdled deep inside our own self. Sometimes those banal thoughts are worth thinking because they make us happy. They revolutionize our perspective about prejudices.
We think too much at times,
Which in turn gives us nothing but thousands of unknown questions, the answers of which we don’t know! Struggling to find the answers people waste half of their life thinking about the irrelevant questions and the possible answers that doesn’t even matter.
There are some people who act diplomatically, they actually try to act but sometimes they forget to notice that their opponent may be smart enough then them to acknowledge what they actually mean.

There are some people whom you will meet, whom you will admire, but you won’t speak out because you are afraid. You won’t speak out because you are unsure about the outcomes. You won’t speak out because you know “it’s better to keep something left unsaid”. Because that’s just a hidden thought that no one except you knows.

"The Little Thing You Did"

You went past crossing my mind,
And I could do nothing
But, just wait and find;
As the only thing I remember was everything,
You never meant,
but although were kind.

The cold breeze gave me a shiver which ran down the spine,
That made me think quite once again,
Is it a dream?
Or is everything ever going to be fine?
Rubbing my eyes I woke up in the morning light.
Which gave me a reason to fight.

A reason; of thousand dreams,
A reason to forgive all the sins.
I never thought a day would come,
That would shine as bright as the sun.
With a realisation I left aside.
Thinking whatever will happen, will happen in its time.

"Down the lane of memories"

Sometime hope makes us travel the journey of life, even if we don't want to.
Anant and Varsha were destined to meet, but with time everything changed. Destiny, which once made them meet played its game and things changed in a blink of an eye.
How will you feel if you have to leave the thing you love the most?
How will you feel if someday you realise you made a big mistake while taking a decision?
How will you feel when you recall all of the memories of your past?
Will you sob? will you cry?
What will you do?
Travel the journey with Anant and Varsha to know what happened.
Know the ups and downs which both went through.
Read more to know about them.
